Staff Training Programme Completed — Over 2,400 SMRL Employees Ready

Surat Metro Rail Limited has completed a 6-month training programme for over 2,400 employees across all operational departments, preparing the full workforce ahead of commercial operations.

Training covered 180 certified train operators trained at SMRL's Driver Training Simulator Centre, 1,200 station operations staff trained in passenger handling and emergency response, 80 control room operators for the Integrated Operations Control Centre (IOCC) at Bhimrad Depot, 400 safety marshals trained with NDRF and Surat Police, and 540 multilingual customer care staff.

All drivers and station masters have received readiness certificates as part of the operational readiness verification process ahead of the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) inspection.
